The new LEGO Batman Movie starring Will Arnett is awesome and we loved it. Now to make it even more awesome there is a special LEGO Batman Build Event featuring a Batman version of Emmett’s car at Toy’s R us this weekend.

Saturday February 11th 1-3pm.

Expect a long line, perhaps longer than usual for this one.

We will definitely be there and then we’ll be back with a review of it.

BricksLA coming to Pasadena Convention Center May 16-17th 2015

BricksLA opens this weekend at the Pasadena Convention Center.

Lego’s are not just for kids and they call them selves AFOL’s (Adult Fans of Lego, pronounced ‘A Fole’), and BricksLA is the first AFOL convention to hit the Los Angeles area. Don’t worry they’ll also have a kids’ play area full of loose brick, a LEGO Movie cardboard standup for photo ops, as well as your usual assortment of vendors selling new and vintage LEGO sets. The doors to the public will open from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday May 16th and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday May 17th. Admission is just $5 with free admission for kids 12 and under.

The Pasadena Convention Center is located at 300 E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91101. There is limited parking at the center with additional parking available at the Paseo Colorado mall.

Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic Saturday May 9th at 10am.

This Saturday and with perfect timing is a Mother’s Day Planter. Wolf and I will be going to make mom her mother’s day gift. Nothing mom likes more than a gift made by her child.

Once a month Lowe’s has a wooden project  build and as a bonus you get a free apron, goggles and a patch! Make sure and register online to guarantee a space.
